Busy with the work

Hello!

I tell you, it seems that I don't even have time to write home to my family these days. The work in the new area has been laborous but worth every effort. We have 2 people with solid baptismal dates for the 24th of February. It is a mother and her daughter. We have been working hard. We did service all day last preparation day, all we did was shop in the evening. It has been hectic trying to work the new area from the old flat, all the time seems to be lost in travel, but we're trying our best and the lord is blessing us for it. I can't really say much else besides I know the church is true. I know God lives. I have gained a huge testimony as of late of the power of fasting, fasting (including PAYING your fast offering) makes all the difference. The Lord blesses us partially for partial obedience, and even then, there's no guarantee. But, he blesses us fully for full obedience. A few drips of water wouldn't make much difference to a man dying of thirst, likewise as we obey fully the Lord is able to open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings upon us. As Spirit Sons and Daughters of God, we are currently separated from our maker and as such our "dying" both physically and spiritually. We will someday be restored physically, yes, with no effort of our own, but if we think that a few drops of spiritual nourishment will quench our aching thirst then we have some things to learn. The Atonement of Jesus Christ can only have full sway in our lives through the principles of Faith and Repentance. So have faith that you'll have time to read your scriptures, energy to say your prayers, money to pay your tithing, fast offerings, and the rent, and Repent of not doing those things and do them! You'll be blessed!
I hope everything is going well with all of you!
